One fish avoided the net that was cast by law enforcement when Todd Ramsey’s home on Maple Avenue was raided Thursday, August 3, 2017. Greg Sydnor has been on the lamb since with police searching for him.
Acting on a tip that Sydnor was living there, officers from the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at 7:30 p.m. at the home of David Hutchison on Cindy Drive.
U
pon entering the home, Sydnor was sitting in the kitchen. As the police began their search, Sydnor admitted that he “had dope in his left front pocket.”
That netted two plastic bags with two large pieces of what is thought to be crystal meth and $40 in cash.
In the kitchen there was also digital scales, more baggies of a substance believed to be crystal meth, needles, and spoons.
Aft
er receiving his Miranda rights, Sydnor indicated that all the dope was his.
Sydnor was char
ged with trafficking a controlled substance in the first degree and his second offense.
“W
e work hard to try and do something for the drug problem in the county. This was just another part of that,” said Sheriff Craig Peoples on the raid conducted by himself and deputies, Todd Dennie, Cody Fasse and Jared Brewer in conjunction with the Kentucky State Police.
